Working Group on Pandemic Influenza Medical Countermeasures Preparedness: Terms of Reference

Overview

WHO is inviting nominations of experts to serve on a Working Group on Pandemic Influenza Medical Countermeasures Preparedness. The Working Group will support the development and operationalization of a common global approach to access, allocation, and deployment of vaccines, antivirals, and diagnostics in line with the Pandemic Influenza Preparedness (PIP) Framework and HLIP III (2024–2030). Through structured technical collaboration, members will contribute to advancing practical, operationally feasible approaches and promoting coherence across global and regional preparedness efforts. The group will provide a forum for joint exploration of priority technical and operational issues—such as data systems, modelling, coordination, and integration with partner mechanisms—drawing on partner expertise and ongoing initiatives.
